Minecraft has been releasing downloadable content for its Bedrock edition since 2013, starting with texture packs for the game. Today, more details of the collaboration surfaced, along with the entire collaboration itself being released fully on the Minecraft Marketplace: a Sonic the Hedgehog DLC pack. Beyond the clip that showed a sprite of Sonic's face recreated in the blocky landscape that Minecraft is known for, not many details were released. SEGA's Sonic Central Livestream revealed many announcements, there was a small clip that implied that the Sonic series was going to collaborate with Minecraft.
